LASH EXTENSIONS / Eyelash Extensions! We all want beautiful lashes don’t we? But don’t we also want healthy lashes as well? As an Xtreme Certified Master Lash Artist I know the importance of protecting and preserving the client’s natural lashes. I see clients all the time that have broken lashes due to other lash artists putting on oversized lashes for the natural lash to hold long term. When doing a consultation for a full set of Xtreme Lash extensions I make sure to assess the shape of the eye, the color of the natural lash and also measure the length and width of the natural lash. I also document their request for a certain look or shape (e.g. classic, fan, glamour, dramatic etc.). If a client’s natural lashes are only 6-8mm in length, you cannot put on a set of 12-14 mm lashes in length and 0.20 mm width or they will be too heavy and ruin the client’s natural lashes. And yet I see this all the time. Even worse, I’ve seen client’s come in with a set of “volume” lashes where there are 3 lashes .20 mm in width and 15 mm in length on 1 natural lash! This is crazy!! And tells me that many Lash Artists don’t care about the client’s health and just want $$$. One thing to note, when a client’s lashes are stressed long term, the natural lashes become stunted and won’t grow as long or as full resulting in short bald lashes. Yes! Your lashes can become bald!!
If I have a client with short lashes and they want long lashes, we come up with a workable goal of eventually getting their lashes longer and fuller so we can put longer and thicker lashes on. The following video is of a Full Set of Xtreme Lashes being applied to a 16 year old girl who has long, healthy lashes but very sensitive eyes. So to ensure there is no damage to her lashes and her eyes, I incorporate several variables for quality assurance. Enjoy!
